Having recently purchased a very well kept Cox Craft Rum Runner, the owner of this boat was looking to reduce noise and smoke levels by removing the existing Johnson Two Stroke and replacing it with a new Mercury Four Stroke.

Knowing that the owner of the Cox Craft would often have a lot of weight in the boat, it was decided that Mandurah Outboards would install a Mercury 115hp CT EFI Four Stroke. CT (Command Thrust) outboards are a line of outboards with a larger than standard gear case, therefore for those boats that are quite often carrying a lot of weight, having the larger than standard gear case means less stress on the gear case, as well as better drive and manoeuvrability as you are able to run a larger diameter propeller.

When sea trailed the boat performed beautifully, it planed very nicely and had a racking top speed !
